PRACTICE NURSES
Practice nurses run their own clinics and specialise in conditions such as asthma, high blood pressure and diabetes. These are often run in conjunction with a doctor who they can ask for advice if necessary.
Hanifah Shoaib (Nurse Prescriber) provides a wide range of clinics.These include chronic disease management, immunisations and vaccinations. She is also trained to see acutely ill patients in the minor illness clinic and can prescribe medication as appropriate.
Her normal days of work are Monday and Tuesday.
Lynn Heald (Practice Nurse) provides a wide range of clinics. These include chronic disease management, immunisations, vaccinations. She does warfarin monitoring and is also trained to see acutely ill patients in the minor illness clinic. Her normal days of work are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Laura MacNeill (Practice Nurse) provides a wide range of clinics. These include chronic disease management, immunisations, vaccinations. She also gives general health advice.
Her normal days of work are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Darrell Re (Practice Nurse) provides a wide range of clinics. These include chronic disease management, immunisations, vaccinations. She also gives general health advice.
Her normal days of work are Monday and Tuesday.
COMMUNITY MIDWIFE
Maria Adams (Midwife) offers regular antenatal care for expectant mothers on Tuesday. You no longer need to see the doctor for a referral to hospital. Please book to see Maria, who will make all the necessary arrangements, including the referral. Maria can be contacted on 0161 331 6159.
HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT
Julie Dean (Healthcare Assistant) performs blood tests, blood pressure checks, weight checks. She does spirometry, new patient medicals and also runs a dedicated smoking cessation clinic.
Her normal days of work are Monday to Friday inclusive.
PHLEBOTOMIST
Lindsey O'Rourke (Phlebotomist) performs blood tests, blood pressure checks,
weight checks.
Her normal days of work are Monday and Tuesday.
