OUT OF HOURS
If you need medical attention outside of normal surgery hours, you may wish to contact NHS direct, a 24 hour nurse led telephone advice service. They will be able to advise you with regard to any treatment you may require.
Alternatively, you may ring the surgery number to be connected to GOTODOC, the out-of-hours medical service. Please bear in mind that this service is for those problems which are urgent and cannot wait to be dealt with within the practice. All reports of contact between GOTODOC and patients are faxed through to the surgery the next morning, so that we may update our records.
In case of accident or emergency, you may also wish to attend the A+E department at Tameside General Hospital. Again, this is strictly for non-routine problems, and all contact with the A+E department is faxed back to the surgery the following morning.
You may wish to have a look at the links page, where you will find many links to useful sites, for further advice on a range of medical problems.
